European Shares Little Changed, Eyes on ECB Inflation Survey

European shares struggled for direction on Tuesday, with the STOXX 50 rising 0.3% and the STOXX 600 was around the flatline, as investors await the inflation surveys due later in the day to seek cues on the ECBs monetary policy outlook.

Easing forecasts will bolster the 91% probability of a rate cut next week, after recent remarks from ECB Governing Body Councils Olli Rehn and Philip Lane suggested that a rate cut next week is almost certain.

Traders will also closely monitor ECB member Klaas Knot and Fed's Neel Kashkari speech today, potentially offering further insights into the global policy outlook.

In corporate news, Norway's Cadeler declined 2.3% after reporting a loss in first-quarter group results, while German flavor and fragrance maker Symrise rose nearly 3%, leading gains on the STOXX 600, after Deutsche Bank raised its stocks rating.
