Palestine Trade Gap Narrows in April

Palestine's trade deficit declined to USD 317.5 million in April 2024 from USD 468.8 million in the corresponding month of the previous year, as imports fell more than exports.

Imports dropped by 28% from a year earlier to USD 420.3 million, mainly due to a 24% plunge in purchases from Israel which represent 61% of total imports.

Moreover, imports from other countries declined by 32%.

Meanwhile, exports fell by 9% to USD 102.8 million, as sales to Israel dropped by 3%, representing 92% of total exports and shipments to other countries fell by 44%.
