The ISM Manufacturing PMI unexpectedly declined to 48.5 in June 2024 from 48.7 in May, below forecasts of 49.1.

The Reading pointed to a third straight month of falling manufacturing activity and the weakest reading since February, as demand was weak again, output declined, and inputs stayed accommodative.
